Before performing any operation unplug the power
cord from
the wall socket.
Information on the saw blades
The machine is designed for using replacement saw blades with 185 mm diameter.
Warning! Risk of injury!
When mounting the saw blade wear protective gloves. The
teeth of the saw blade can be very sharp.
Saw blade fitting
/ removal
(see Picture
B)
•
Press the spindle lock button (15), and release the blade bolt (23)
with an allen key
and remove the
outer flange (22).
•
Rotate lower blade guard (10) clockwise and hold open using the lower blade guard lever (13) while
changing the saw blade (11).
•
Ensure the blade bore is located on the inner flange (20).
Observe correct orientation of saw teeth
–
the arrow on the blade must correspond with the arrow on the fixed protective guard (1).
•
Press the
spindle lock (15) again and re
-
fit the outer flange (22) over
the
spindle flats
(21), and
tighten
the
bolt.
•
Check the blade is securely clamped.
Depth
of
cut adjustment
•
Lift the depth of cut adjustment lever (18) and raise the saw body away from the
base plate (12).
•
Set the depth of cut using the scale
(16)
and push the lever (18) down to lock.
•
Always add approximately 3mm more than the thickness of the material so
the blade can cut
through the
material.
Angle of cut
adjustment
Adjusting the angle of the base plate enables bevel cutting.
B
ase plate must always be held firmly against
the material.
•
Loosen the base plate bevel lock (6) and rotate the base plate (12) to set the bevel angle using the
angle scale (5) provided.
•
Then clamp the base plate (12) position using the lock (6)
.
•
The angle markings (5) on the base plate (12) are accurate for most general
purposes but it is
recommended for accurate work to set the angle with a
protractor
.
•
Do not use the depth of cut scale when making bevel cuts. The cutting depth is smaller than the
indicated value
.
•
Always make a trial cut to check the setting
.
Dust extraction outlet
To remove sawdust, connect a suitable dust extraction machine (e.g. industrial vacuum cleaner) to the
dust extraction outlet
(14) using a
suitable
adaptor and a flexible hose connection. Make
sure the
vacuum cleaner is suitable for the worked material.
