INGRESSI DI SEGNALE
Per sonorizzare i sei canali del trasmettitore sono disponibili altrettanti
ingressi [
12
] ai quali è possibile collegare fino a sei sorgenti musicali
quali sintonizzatori commerciali, riproduttori di nastri e/o compact disc;
in figura 2.2.1 sono riportate le connessioni alle prese d'ingresso [
12
].
L'ampiezza del segnale d'uscita di ogni sorgente musicale deve essere
opportunamente dosata in modo tale da non saturare gli stadi d'ingresso
del trasmettitore ma cercando, al tempo stesso, di ottenere una piena
modulazione ed una certa uniformità tra i livelli dei vari canali. Gli indicatori
[

], posti sul frontale del trasmettitore, permettono di verificare il livello
di modulazione di ogni singolo canale; l'accensione dei led rossi
all'estremità superiore di ogni barra indicano una sovramodulazione. Per
una buona qualità del segnale trasmesso la sovramodulazione deve
avvenire solo per brevissimi istanti (picchi non ripetitivi del segnale
d'ingresso).
2.3
LINEA DI RADIOFREQUENZA
I terminali della linea, o delle linee, di distribuzione del segnale a
radiofrequenza devono essere collegati alla morsettiera "LINE" [

]. Le
linee di distribuzione devono essere realizzate utilizzando,
preferibilmente, il doppino telefonico in quanto, tale coppia di conduttori,
presenta le caratteristiche ottimali per questo particolare impiego. Al
momento dell'installazione è necessario provvedere all'adattamento
dell'impedenza di uscita del trasmettitore alla linea di distribuzione; allo
scopo bisogna intervenire sui ponticelli dell'apposita morsettiera [

].
L'apparecchio è predisposto in fabbrica per una impedenza d'uscita di
100
Ω
. All'atto pratico, l'impedenza di 100
Ω
è la più idonea a pilotare
impianti simili a quello illustrato in fig. 2.1.1 che rappresenta la
maggioranza delle installazioni. Impianti più ramificati e complessi, del
tipo rappresentato in fig. 2.1.2, presentano, solitamente, un'impedenza
di linea più bassa; si rende quindi necessario, in questo caso, impostare
l'impedenza d'uscita del trasmettitore a 25
Ω
posizionando i ponticelli
come indicato dalla serigrafia vicino alla morsettiera.
2.5
MODULO BOOSTER
Tutti i moduli amplificatori di linea (booster) devono essere collegati in
serie alla linea di distribuzione e alimentati dalla rete elettrica a 230 V
(o 117 V) tramite gli appositi trasformatori. Riferirsi, per le connessioni,
alle istruzioni specifiche allegate ai vari moduli.
2.4
MODULI RICEVITORI
Tutti i moduli ricevitori devono essere collegati in derivazione alla linea di
distribuzione e alimentati dalla rete elettrica a 230 V (o 117 V) tramite gli
appositi trasformatori. Riferirsi, per le connessioni, alle istruzioni specifiche
allegate ai vari moduli.
2.2
SIGNAL INPUTS
Six inputs for providing sound for the six transmission channels are
available [
12
]. Up to six different sources of music, such as tuners,
tape players and/or compact disc players, can be connected to these
inputs. Figure 2.2.1 shows the connections to the input sockets [
12
].
The amplitude of the output signal from each source of music must be
suitably adjusted so that it does not saturate the input stages of the
transmitter, but a t the same time an attempt should be made to achieve
full modulation and a certain degree of uniformity among the levels of
the various channels. The indicators [
1
] located on the front panel of
the transmitter can be used to check the level of modulation of each
single channel. The red LED's at the upper end of the bars light up to
signal over-modulation. For a good quality of the signal being
transmitted, over-modulation should only occur for very brief moments
(non-repetitive peaks of the input signal).
2.3
RADIO-FREQUENCY LINE
The terminals of the line (or lines) for distributing the radio-frequency
signal have to be connected to the "LINE" terminal strip [

]. Preferably,
the distribution lines should be installed using a telephone pair, since
these conductors have the best characteristics for this type of
application. At the time of installing the equipment it is necessary to
adapt the output impendance of the transmitter to the distribution line.
This is done by means of the jumpers on the terminal strip provided for
this purpose [
11
]. The equipment is factory-set for an output
impendance of 100
Ω
. For practical purposes, an impendance of
100
Ω
is the most suitable for driving systems similar to the one in
Figure 2.1.1, representing the most widely adopted solution. More
complex and branched systems, such as the one in Figure 2.1.2, usually
have a lower line impendance. In this case it will therefore be necessary
to set the output impendance of the transmitter to 25
Ω
; by positioning
the jumpers as specified in the silk-screen printed indications near the
terminal strip.
2.4
RECEIVER MODULES
All the receiver modules have to be branched to the distribution line
and be supplied with power from the mains at a voltage of 230 V (or
117 V) using the appropriate transformer. For the branching, refer to
the specific instructions supplied with each of the various modules.
2.5
BOOSTER MODULE
All the line amplifier (booster) modules have to be connected in series
to the distribution line and be supplied with power from the mains at a
voltage of 230 V (or 117 V), using the appropriate transformers.
For these connections, refer to the specific instructions supplied with
each of the various modules.
