COMPRESSION PRESSURE INSPECTION
1.Start the engine and preheat it for 5 minutes. Then stop it.
2.
Remove stopper hang rope.
3.
Remove spark plug and attach pressure gauge to spark plug hole.
CAUTION:
Before removing spark plug, use compressed air to clean the spark plug notch, to prevent dust and
other foreign matter from entering cylinder.
4. Open the choke completely, and rotate the crankshaft with starter. When the pressure gauge
readings become stable, check the cylinder pressure.
NOTE:
Please don’t change the choke position when checking the cylinder pressure.
For models that use control box, remove the throttle link and open completely the carburetor throttle rod
by hand, and then measure the pressure.
5. If the measured pressure is below the specification or there is difference between cylinders, add a
little oil into cylinders and measure again.
