Use caution when trying a trim position for the first time. Increase speed gradually and watch
for any signs of instability or control problems.
Improper trim angle can cause loss of control.

and Bow leaning down.
With the normal bow leaning up, the water resistance is reduced and the boat may have a greater
stability and efficiency.
Too much trim-out puts the bow of the boat too high in the water. It will increase the air and water
resistance of the boat body and reduce the efficiency of the outboard. Excessive bow up can also
cause the boat to hop in the water, which could throw the operator and passengers over board.
Bow down causes the boat to “plow” through the water, giving extreme resistance to the boat. It makes
