Operation
Caution!
Risk of injury!
- Disconnect the mains plug before
carrying out any work on the de-
vice.
- Only use grindstone and accesso-
ries recommended by the manu-
facturer. Using other attachment
tools and other accessories may
represent a risk of injury to you.
- Never operate the device without
protective equipment.
Despite spark protection,
always wear safety gogg-
les while working in order to avo-
id eye injuries.
We recommend wearing ear
protection to prevent dama-
ge to hearing.
Grinding drill bits
Rough-grind heavily dama-
ged drill bits with a fi le or on
a bench grinder fi rst.
Trial run:
Always carry out a trial run
of at least 1 minute duration without
load before carrying out your fi rst
grinding procedure and after every
grindstone replacement. Switch the
device off immediately if considera-
ble vibration occurs or if you hear
abnormal noises.
1. Turn the adjusting wheel (1) all
the way in the “DOWN” direc-
tion. The grindstone (8) is lowe-
red completely.
2. Insert the drill bit in the smallest
fi tting drill mount (2) on the tool.
The diameters (Ø) of the
drill mount (2) are indica-
ted next to this on the tool.
3. Move the On/Off switch (6) to
the “
I
” position to switch the tool
on. The tool turns on.
4. Turn the adjusting wheel (1) in
the “UP” direction until you hear
a grinding noise. Turning guides
the grindstone (8) towards the
drill bit.
Do not turn the adjusting
wheel (1) too far in the
“UP” direction, as the grindstone
(8) can come into contact with
the housing.
5. Applying slight pressure, loosen
the drill bit and quickly turn it
back and forth between the left
and right stops about 10 times.
With small drill bits, about
5 times is enough.
6. Remove the drill bit, turn it 180°
around its own axis and insert it
back into the drill mount (2) up
to the grindstone.
