Instruction book, PHD API Reference

Configuration

The J1939 service is configured at runtime using a text-based configuration file. This 
allows the service to be customized without requiring recompilation. The file is defined in 
JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) format, a data-oriented hierarchical data description 
language based around JavaScript with simple translation to object-oriented systems.
