Separated parts for processing
All components of the PARI O-PEP can be cleaned, disinfected
and sterilised according to the procedures described below.
The lanyard must be processed separately [see: Care of the
lanyard, page 20].
CAUTION
Risk of infection due to cross-contamination in the case
of a change in patients
If a product is used for more than one patient, there is a risk
that germs may be transmitted from one patient to the next.
• Clean, disinfect
and
sterilise all separated parts before
every change in patient.
Preparation
Dismantle the inhalation device into its individual parts
[see: Preparation, page 16].
Precleaning
All individual parts must be precleaned immediately after use.
EQUIPMENT:
– Drinking water temperature of about 15 °C
PROCEDURE:
• Rinse all parts used for 2 minutes in running drinking water
beforehand.
