Procedure
To create Community Names:
1. Choose Community Names... from the SNMP menu. The Community Names
dialog box appears.
2. Make the required entries. Table 4-1 describes the fields in the Community
Names dialog box.

Name for issuing Read (GET) commands for
NMS devices. The device name (within 6700
Series NMS) is appended to this name to form
the specific device read community name.

(Blank)
Name for issuing Write (SET) commands for
NMS devices. The device name (within 6700
Series NMS) is appended to this name to form
the specific device write community name.
3. Choose OK. The Main Menu appears.
