DAILY INSPECTION
Cables
Block Inspection Point Remarks
Torch cable
 Too much bent of the torch cable
 Looseness at the connection to the
CC fixture

Causes a wire feed failure

Causes winking of arc due to
scooping wire feed or unstable
arc generation

Stretch out the torch cable as
straight
as possible when
using.
Output cable

Wear or damage of the cable
insulator.

Exposure of the cable connection
(damaged insulation) or loosened
clamping(welding
power unit
terminal block, base material
connection, mutual cables)
To secure safety of the worker and
stable arc, carry out inspection in
an appropriate method suitable to
your work site.

Roughly and simply in daily
inspection
 Elaborately in details in
periodic inspection
Input cable
 Whether the input and output
terminals of the input protective
device of the switch box are tight.

Whether the fuse holder is clamped
tight.
 Whether the input terminal of the
welding power source is clamped
tight.

Whether the insulator of the input
cable is worn out or damaged, or the
cable is exposed
Grounding
terminal

Whether the grounding terminal for
the welding power source is firmly
connected and clamped.

Whether the grounding terminal for
the base metal is firmly connected
Be sure to inspect daily in order to
secure safety against an unexpected
leakage.
