3. PTZ Control 

PTZ button(Figure 3-0) is available only when the [RS485 operation] in the [PTZ Settings] menu is set to 
“ON(PTZ)". See ch. 7.6.2. PTZ Settings.   
If you click this PTZ button, the screen to control the pan/tilt head will be displayed.

Note:  

• 

PTZ can be controlled by connecting external devices (Pan/tilt head, etc.) to the RS485 port on the rear 
of the camera using a RS485 cable. Refer to the operating instructions of the external device to be 
connected for further information. 

• 

Before PTZ operation, please make sure you have properly set PTZ protocol. (Please refer to Ch 
7.6.2). 

• 

Depending on the external device ( the pan/tilt head etc ) connected to, some functions may not be 
available. Refer to the specifications of your external device for more information. Refer to the 
operating instructions of the external device for further information about its operation.
