Troubleshooting (Advanced)
The MultiMedia card and, SDHC Memory Card does not operate when it is
inserted

The SD Memory Card slot on this computer only accepts SD Memory Cards.
It is not compatible with MultiMedia cards and SDHC Memory Cards, do not insert these cards.
If you want to use a MultiMedia card or SDHC Memory Cards, you will require a PC Card adaptor (sold separately) or USB
reader/writer (sold separately) that is compatible with MultiMedia cards or SDHC Memory Cards.
When a USB device is connected, an acoustic noise can be heard from the com-
puter.

Using the following procedure, set the USB power save function to [Disable] in the “USB Power Save Mode Switching Util-
ity”.
When it is set to [Disable], the computer will not operate as long on the battery.

Click [start] - [Control Panel] - [Add or Remove Programs].

Click [start] - [Run] and input [c:\util\usbpower\setup.exe] and then click [OK].

Restart the computer.
Unable to connect to a network

Check that the network you are using ([Modem], [LAN], [Wireless LAN] or [Wireless WAN]) is set to [Enable] in the
[Advanced] menu of the Setup Utility (

When using the computer as a network computer, some additional settings may have to be made depending on the usage
conditions. We recommend asking your system administrator or the person in charge of the network.

If the hub unit link lump does not light up, one of the following problems may have occurred.
