Playing bonus groups
[DVD-A]
Some discs contain bonus groups. If a password screen appears
after selecting a group, enter the password with the numbered
buttons and press [ENTER]. Refer also to the disc’s jacket.
(Effective only when the elapsed play time is displayed)
You can start play from a memorized position even after turning the
unit off.

When receiving a TV programme with the Stereo, Bilingual or
NICAM sound system, the type of sound system in which it is
broadcast is automatically indicated.

You can change the audio for the images being played with
simultaneous rec and play and Time Slip.

While playing DVD-Audio or DVD-Video
You can change the audio channel number each time you press the
buttons. This allows you to change things like the soundtrack
language.

It will not be possible to alter the sound in the following cases:
–When a DVD-R is in the disc tray.
–When recording mode is XP and “LPCM” has been selected in
the Sound menu, “Audio Mode for XP Recording” (

page 53).

When recording a bilingual television broadcast to DVD-R or
recording using LPCM, you cannot change the audio type. The
audio selected for recording is played.
