For cooking rice for savoury dishes
not rice puddings. (Thai, Basmati,
Jasmine, Suriname, Arborio or
Mediterranean rice). Rinse the rice
thoroughly before cooking. Use a
large bowl. Add 2 times boiling water
to rice. Allow at least ½ depth of
volume for evaporation to prevent
boiling over. Cover with cling film.
Pierce cling film with a sharp knife
once in the centre and four times
around the edge. Select program
number 9. Start to cook. Stir at
beeps. Allow to stand for 5 minutes
after cooking.
