3 Troubleshooting Guide

CAUSE / REMEDY
When dust is vacuumed off, the
dust sensor indicator lamp doesn’t
light up.
Or, it lights up when dust is not
vacuumed off.
With the swivel cap unit set to
“AUTO”, the dust suction power is
not affected
Air inlet
Check whether or not dust or for-
eign substances adhere to the dust
sensor of the air inlet.
Wipe the dust sensor with a dry
soft cloth.
If there is no improvement in symp-
toms, then replace the P.C.B AU.
Motor fails to rotate
Power supply cord
Check power supply cord continu-
ity.
If there is no continuity, replace the
cord reel patition unit.
Fuse of P.C.B. Ass’y
(250V, 10A)
Check fuse continuity.
If there is no continuity, replace
P.C.B AU.
Motor continuity
Check the conduction between the
terminals of the motor.
If there is no continuity, replace the
motor.
ON/OFF
Switch
Check continuity across switch
connections
If there is no continuity, replace
P.C.B AU.
Triac (Inside of P.C.B.)
Check if there is any problem in the
triac.
(Please refer to how to check the
triac.)
If it has any problem, replace the
P.C.B AU.
P.C.B AU
Check the internal parts for any-
thing unusual. (burn-out, melt-
down, etc.)
If anything unusual is found,
replace the P.C.B AU with new one.
Motor runs but there is no suction Hose or Suction inlet
Check if there is any blockage in
the hose or suction inlet.
If there is any blockage, remove it.
Dust bag / Secondary filter
Check if dust bag is full or Second-
ary filter is choked up.
If dust bag is full, replace with a
new one. If Secondary filter is
choked up, remove and clean it out
or replace.
Noise or vibration
Motor fan
Check dust accumulated in motor
fan (it could happen if the vacuum
cleaner has been used without cen-
tral filter).
If there is accumulated dust in the
motor fan, replace the motor and
check filter condition. (never try to
dismantle the motor fan)
Motor does not change power
(runs always at full speed)
Power control
(Control)
Adjust the power control and check
whether or not the resistance var-
ies. (Black
←→
Red)
If the resistance does not vary, then
replace the Control.
P.C.B AU
Examine the triac in the P.C.B AU
and check whether or not T1 and
T2 are short-circuited.
If they are short-circuited, then
replace the P.C.B AU.
Motor runs irregularly
P.C.B AU
Check possible bad contact of
P.C.B AU.
Replace P.C.B AU.
