CREATIVE MOVIE

This command allows you to select the type of video recording you want.
MANUAL MOVIE MODE – Allows you to manually adjust the aperture and
shutter speed. It allows you to record your videos in AVCHD and Motion
JPEG formats.
24P CINEMA – Typically used by professional videographers. Records
videos in 1080p (progressive) only.
VARIABLE MOVIE MODE – Typically used by professional videographers.
Records videos in 1080p (progressive) only. Allows you to change the
number of frames recorded per second.
FILM MODE

This command is common to both the REC and MOTION PICTURE menus.
It contains 10 different color schemes (tones and contrasts) to choose
from. In addition, you can have up to two separate groups of settings
within MY FILM 1 and MY FILM 2, and can use MULTIFILM to group
together up to 3 Film Mode values to be taken with a single push of the
shutter-release button.
[STANDARD] and [STANDARD B&W] are the only options available when
the camera is in Intelligent Auto, SCN, Portrait, Scenery, and Close-up
Modes.
CINEMA
CONTRAST: Allows you to adjust the brightness within the picture.
SHARPNESS: Allows you to adjust the picture’s sharpness.
SATURATION: Allows you to adjust the picture’s color saturation between
vivid and natural. Not available for B&W options.
NOISE REDUCTION: Allows you to adjust the picture’s noise, which affects
the picture’s resolution.
MEMORY: Allows you to save your contrast, sharpness, saturation, and
noise reduction settings for future use. Not available for MY FILM 1, MY
FILM 2, and MULTI FILM options.

MY FILM 1
A designation for storing a set of Film Mode values for easy retrieval.
MY FILM 2
A designation for storing a set of Film Mode values for easy retrieval.
MULTI FILM
MULTI FILM1: Allows you to store a Film Mode value to be executed when
the MULTI FILM command is selected.
MULTI FILM2: Allows you to store a Film Mode value to be executed when
the MULTI FILM command is selected.
MULTI FILM3: Allows you to store a Film Mode value to be executed when
the MULTI FILM command is selected.
REC MODE

This command establishes the recorded data format for motion pictures.
Mode dial = Creative Motion Picture Mode
MENU/SET>CREATIVE MOVIE>[MANUAL MOVIE MODE]
AVCHD(1080i)
Records in high-definition (HD) interlaced format for playback on
HDTVs. The memory card must be an SD, SDHC, or SDXC Class 4 card or
higher. Records videos with higher definition and picture quality than
AVCHD(720p).
AVCHD(720p)
Records in high-definition (HD) progressive format for playback on
HDTVs. The memory card must be an SD, SDHC, or SDXC Class 4 card or
higher.
MOTION JPEG
Records in standard-definition video format for playback on a computer.
The memory card must be an SD, SDHC, or SDXC Class 6 card or higher.
