Advanced Operation

If “
Voicemail
” and

still remain on the display and the VOICE MAIL
indicator on the base unit still flashes even if you have listened to your voice mail
message(s), press
(FUNCTION/EXIT/CH)
, and press and hold
(CLEAR)
until the
unit beeps. “
Voicemail
” and
“
”
will disappear and the indicator will go off.
•
If your voice mail service uses a voice mail tone and the recorded message is
over 3 minutes long, “
Voicemail
” and
“
”
may not be displayed and the
VOICE MAIL indicator may not flash.
•
If your voice mail service uses a voice mail tone, the tone will be heard from any
parallel connected phone. If you use another phone to retrieve messages, you
have to dial your access number manually.
Listening to Voice Mail Messages
After receiving a voice mail message, “
Voicemail
” and “
” will be
displayed and the VOICE MAIL indicator on the base unit will flash.
You can listen to your voice mail message(s), follow the steps below.

(FLASH/CALL!WAIT/VOICE!MAIL)
, and press
(TALK)
.

The unit is connected to the telephone line and dials the access number (p. 41).

Follow the pre-recorded instructions.

Special Features
Automatic Security Code Setting
Each time you place the handset on the base unit, the unit automatically
selects one of more than a million security codes. These codes help
prevent the unauthorized use of your telephone line by another cordless
telephone user.
Handset Locator
You can locate the handset or page the handset user with beep tones
from the base unit.

The IN USE/CHARGE indicator flashes. The handset beeps for 1 minute
and “
Paging
” is displayed.

To stop paging, press

again or press
(TALK)
twice on the handset.
