CAUTION:
1) The product should never be placed near or over a radiator or other heat source.
2) Use only the AC adaptor, battery and charger indicated in this manual.
3) Do not place metal items such as coins or rings on the charger. As they become hot,
you might get burnt if you touch them.
4) Non use periods: When the PS is not being used, turn the power off. When left
unused for a long period of time, the charger should be unplugged from the AC outlet.
Note:
This PS communicates using digital signals that are difficult to intercept. However, it is
possible that the signals could be intercepted by a third party.
Installation
Environment
1) Heat and electrical noise: Keep the product away from heating appliances and
devices that generate electrical noise, such as fluorescent lamps and motors. These
noise sources can interfere with performance of the product. They also should not be
placed in rooms where the temperature is less than 5
°
C or greater than 40
°
C.
2) Allow 10 cm clearance around the product for proper ventilation.
3) Avoid environments with excessive smoke, dust, moisture, mechanical vibration,
shock, or direct sunlight.
4) The apparatus is designed to be installed and operated within the recommended
ambient temperature and relative humidity ranges. See “Specifications” on page 57.
Routine Care
1) Unplug the charger from the AC outlet before cleaning.
2) Wipe the product with a soft cloth.
3) Do not clean the product with abrasive powder or with chemical agents such as
benzene or thinner.
4) Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners.
Placement
1) Stacking: Do not place heavy objects on top of the PS and charger.
2) Foreign material: Care should be taken so that objects do not fall onto and liquids are
not spilled into the PS and charger. Do not subject the charger to excessive smoke,
dust, mechanical vibration, or shock.
3) Surface: Place the charger on a flat surface. If the charger is mounted on the wall,
install it straight; refer to page 48 for wall mounting instructions.
Notice for product repair, disposal, transfer, or return
1) Keep a copy of all important data (such as your Phonebook) before sending the
machine for repair.
2) This product can store your private/confidential information. To protect your privacy/
confidentiality, we recommend that you erase the information such as Phonebook or
call log from the memory before you dispose, transfer or return the product.
