I/O allocation
Functions such as handshaking and error signals with the CPU unit are handled by the
X and Y contacts allocated to the serial data unit. The I/O of 16 X and 16 Y points are
allocated to the serial data unit. The I/O numbers change depending on the slot position
at which the serial data unit is installed and the I/O of other unit.

1) Error flags go off when data is successfully received, or when
a software reset is carried out.
2) A software reset takes approximately 100 ms, from the time
when the software reset signal Y1D goes on to the point where
the reset is completed.
