Authentication Setting
The system administrator can enable/disable the User Authentication for each function (copying,
faxing, scanning, and printing).

Press the Function key.

Select “ General Settings ”.

Select “ 5-9 ” tab, and then select “ 09
Key Operator Mode ”.

Enter the Key Operator password (8
digits), and then select “
OK ”.
z The default password is “00000000”.
z To change the password, select “ 80 Key
Operator Password ” in the General
Settings (Key Operator Mode), and then
enter the new password.

Select “ 40 - 59 ” tab, and scroll the
screen, and then select “ 45 User
Authentication ”.
z “ 46 ID Timeout ”, “ 47 Logon Attempts ”, and
“ 48 Lockout Time ” are displayed only when
“ 45 User Authentication ” is set.
