The camera detects a person’s face, eyes, and body (entire body or upper half of the
body) and adjusts the focus.
With the default settings, Animal Detection will also operate, enabling detection of animals,
such as birds, canines (including wolves), and felines (including lions).
When the camera detects a person’s face (

B
) or body or
an animal’s body (
C
), an AF area is displayed.
• Eye Detection works only for the eyes inside the yellow frame
(
A
).
• You can move and change the size of the yellow AF area with
the same operation as [
] ([Face/Eye Detection]).
• When a person’s eyes are detected, the eye closer to the camera will be brought into focus.
The exposure will be adjusted to the face. (When [Metering Mode] is set to [
])
• The camera can detect the faces of up to 15 people.
• The camera can detect a combined total of up to 3 human and animal bodies.
• If any humans or animals are not detected, the camera operates as [
].
• The Auto Focus Mode during [4K Live Cropping] recording switches to [
] ([Face
Detection]). (Human bodies cannot be detected. You cannot specify the person to bring into
focus.)
Additions/changes to the Auto Focus function
