Perform the following steps to grow plants from seeds using Jiffy pellets as the growing medium:
Jiffy pellet
Remove the cups from
the cassette
Insert the seeds into
the holes
Place the Jiffy pellets
directly into the
cassette holes and
wait a few seconds for
the pellets to expand
with water
Perform the following steps to grow plants from seeds using mineral wool as the growing medium:
Remove the cups from
the cassette
Insert the seeds into
the holes
Gently push down on
the mineral wool cubes
to enable them to soak
up more water
Place 2-3 cm mineral
wool cubes directly into
the cassette, verifying
the mineral wool fibers
are facing up
Make a hole in the
Jiffy pellets to a depth
of 1 cm using a thin
object (such as a pen)
