Turning this knob moves the grinding wheel laterally, left-to-
right from the operator’s viewpoint. 

2. Tool Carrier Shaft Lateral Movement Knob

Turning this knob moves the tool carrier left-to-right along the 
tool carrier shaft.

3. Tool Carrier Shaft Tension Knob

Tightening this knob puts tension on the carrier shaft. Pulling 
back on the carrier head rotates the shaft to a retractable stop 
point.

4. Oil Ports

Maintain the tool by oiling the moving parts through these 
ports.

5. Tool Carrier Shaft

The tool carrier clamps on this bar, laterally and rotationally.

6. Tool Carrier Shaft Clamping Lever

The lever locks the tool carrier along the carrier shaft. The 
shaft still has a retractable spring load applied to it based on 
the Lateral Shaft Movement Knob, #12.

7. Tool Carrier Head Vertical Axis Clamping Lever

The lever locks the carrier head in a fixed position. Loosen the 
lever and the head will rotate vertically, left-and-right (like a 
clock dial) from the operator’s viewpoint.

8. Tool Carrier Head in and out adjustment

Turning the thumb screw on the left advances the carrier head 
in-and-out from the operator’s viewpoint.

9. Tool Carrier Head

The twist drill bit, end mill and lathe accessories work in 
conjunction with the head. The twist drill bit accessory inserts 
into the collet portion of the head. The end bit and lathe 
accessories replace the head completely.

10. Locking Bayonet Lever

The lever has three settings that control the rotation of the 
collet holding the bit being sharpened.

11. Diamond Cup Wheel (extra corundum disc included)

When replacing the cup wheel, make sure the new wheel 
meets or exceeds the machine’s RPM rating. 

12. Diamond Dressing Tool

Flip the dressing bracket over to engage the diamond tool to 
the grinding wheel. Dressing the wheel creates a flat grinding 
surface. 

13. Tool Carrier Head horizontal rotation axis clamping lever

The lever locks the carrier head in a fixed position. Loosen the 
lever and the head will rotate horizontally, left-and-right from 
the operator’s view.

 

14. Grinding Shaft Clamping Knob

Tightening this knob locks and prevents the grinding wheel 
from being adjusted laterally, left-to-right.
