MAINTENANCE
Make sure the machine is turned off and
completely unplugged from its power
source before performing any type of maintenance.
The type and extent of machine wear will depend on
the frequency of use and service conditions. Below are
recommendations.
• On a daily basis before using the tool, carefully inspect the
grinding cup for any damage. If any doubt exists or if the cup
appears damaged or shows cracks replace it immediately.
• Regularly clean the machine to remove any left over grinding
dust. Leftover debris in the slideways can cause the machine
to wear prematurely. If necessary use compressed air to
clean the machine. The use of a proper fitting OSHA/NIOSH
face mask or respirator is highly recommended.
• If slack or play is noticed in the slideways tighten the
appropriate adjusting screws.
• Oil the lubrication nipples at regular intervals.
