Performing HotSync

 Operations

The following steps assume that you have already installed Palm Desktop 
software. If you have not installed this software, see

“Step 4: Install Palm Desktop 

software and perform a HotSync operation”

 in 

Chapter 1

 for instructions.

To perform a local HotSync operation on a Windows computer:

1.

Connect your handheld to your computer using the HotSync cable.

2.

If the HotSync Manager is not running, start it. You can do this by starting 
Palm Desktop software which automatically opens the HotSync Manager. 
Alternatively, you can click Start on the Windows desktop, and then choose 
Programs. Navigate to the Palm Desktop software program group and choose 
HotSync Manager.

NOTE

You can check the Windows system tray to see if HotSync Manager is 

running. If it is running, the HotSync icon is displayed.
