Infection Risk Index
When the respective package is implemented, the “Infection Risk Index” is
among the values displayed. The measured CO
2
concentration and the
particle size spectrum of the ambient air are applied to calculate the index.
These values allow conclusions to be drawn about the human contribution to
the aerosol concentration and thus to a potential infection risk.
The Infection Risk Index can be between 0 and 100. The values mean the
following:

0 – 3 (in green)
Low
Air room regularly to keep the value
low.
4 – 30 (in orange)
Elevated
Air the room at least until the value
falls below 4.
31 – 100 (in red)
Very high

If the room is aired as soon as the value rises, the device will never show a
value over 30.
