Before First Use
Remove all labels. Hand wash all pieces
with mild dish soap and warm water using
a soft cloth or sponge. It is important to
use a soft cloth as copper is an inherently
soft metal. This aids in the superior heat
conduction that copper offers, but also
makes it more prone to damage than
harder metals like stainless steel.
When Cooking
PADERNO
TM
cookware is designed to
distribute heat quickly and evenly. Most
cooking can be done on a low-to-medium
heat setting (high heat should only be
used for boiling or reducing liquids). Too
much heat may discolour or damage your
cookware. To minimize sticking when
frying, sautéing or searing, preheat the
pan for 30 seconds over low heat and use
oil before adding food.
Choose a burner that is close in diameter
to the pan you are using. If cooking with
gas, adjust the flame so that it does not
go up the pan sides. When cooking with
salt, heat liquids or food before adding
salt and stir to help dissolve the salt.
This will prevent pits and spots that are
difficult to remove.
Oven Safe
This cookware is designed for both
stovetop and oven cooking up to 500°F
(260°C). Always use hot pads when
removing pans from the oven. Handles
will heat up in the oven.
1. Do not
use cookware over a campfire.
2. Do not
use cookware in a
microwave oven.
3. Do not
leave empty cookware on a
hot burner or allow it to boil dry as
this can damage the pan or cause
discolouration. If the cookware is
accidentally overheated, turn off
the heat source and let cool
completely before moving it, using
extreme caution.
4. Do not
use cookware on an
induction stovetop.
Choosing Utensils
Metal, wood, or plastic utensils may
be used on stainless steel pots and
pans. However, using sharp edged
utensils such as forks or knives is not
recommended. Minor scratches will
not affect the pan’s performance.
Using Your Cookware
Made in Canada* multi-layered clad cookware with a polished
copper exterior offers elegance and superior cooking
performance. The copper exterior provides excellent heat
conductivity, while the aluminum core retains and distributes heat
quickly and evenly. This exceptional responsiveness provides you
precise temperature control, perfect for browning and searing
foods beautifully.
