If the checkbox is ticked, the modem will redirect ICMP messages to the DMZ host,
otherwise the modem will reply the ICMP messages.
Multicast Filter
– Multicast allows data to be sent to a group of devices at the same
time without having to create a copy of data to be individually sent to each device.
In cases where high volume traffic attacks the modem’s multicast address, attackers
can simultaneously flood all devices with traffic.
If the checkbox is ticked, when modem receive any multicast packets, these packets
will be dropped, and not allow them to pass through.
Enable UPnP IGD
– Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) is a set of networking
protocols promulgated by the UPnP Forum. The goals of UPnP are to allow devices
to connect seamlessly and to simplify the implementation of networks in the home
(data sharing, communications, and entertainment) and in corporate environments
for simplified installation of computer components. UPnP supports zero-
configuration networking.
To enable UPnP, tick the box and press “Apply” button to save the setting. Devices
which support UPnP are printers, scanners, WLAN access points, media servers and
many more.
