Response Factor
The DPM-RT-2 is calibrated to the NOISH 5040 Elemental Carbon, but via the
Response Factor
screen the
user can change the way the unit presents its PM results. The following response factors are supported:
•
Elemental Carbon:
This causes the DPM-RT-2 to display PM values as NIOSH 5040 Elemental
Carbon as it was calibrated.
•
Total Carbon:
This causes the DPM-RT-2 to display PM values as total carbon.
•
Arizona Dust:
This causes the DPM-RT-2 to display PM values as Arizona Dust.
•
Custom Factor:
This allows the user to set a custom response factor to convert the NIOSH 5040
EC to some other custom value.
