4.8.3
Insert Probe
Insert the supplied sample probe fully into the exhaust of the vehicle or
plant under test, using the spring wire retainers to secure the probe in
position. Confirm that the engine is running within the desired
operating conditions for the test. When ready, press the
ENTER
button
or tap the
Green Tick
button.
4.8.4
Initiate Test
The green
LED
on the front panel will
illuminate
(steady) and a
5 second
countdown
will start, allowing the operator to anticipate the time when
measurements will commence.

Run Test
The DPM-RT-2 will now run in continuous mode until the test is either cancelled for finished via the
Red
Cross
and
Green Tick
buttons respectivly. If the test is cancelled, then the test data will not be available
under the previous tests screen, otherwise if the
Green Tick
button is tapped, then the test will appear
under the previous tests screen.
Running vehicle engines in closed areas represents a risk of potential carbon
monoxide poisoning.
