Inspection of the oil/water separator – every 200 hours
The oil/water separator is used to separate water or sediment from the fuel. The
oil/water separator has a float that rises up as it fills up with water. When there is
water or sediment in the oil/water separator’s collector, it must be emptied
.
IMPORTANT: Increase the frequency of inspections of the oil/water separator if
there is a lot of water in the fuel!
Emptying procedure:
NOTICE: The drainage plug has a contra thread and must be turned by hand
because of the threads.
1.
Manually loosen the drainage plug in the bottom of the oil/water separator.
2.
After emptying tighten manually tighten the drainage cap to ensure oil or air cannot
leak out.
NOTICE: After emptying, ensure to empty the fuel system of air to ensure that
the engine can start normally.
