Storage
WARNING
Never store the snow thrower with fuel in the tank indoors or in poorly
ventilated areas where fuel vapours could reach open flames, sparks or pilot lights,
such as on ovens, water heaters, tumble dryers or gas appliances.
Before storing the machine for longer periods, follow the procedure below:
•
Remove the wheels and grease the wheel shafts.
•
Dismantle and grease the shear pins in the auger before reassembling them.
•
Lubricate the metal parts.
•
Lubricate the gear shaft.
•
Drain the petrol from the fuel tank and carburettor.
•
Remove the spark plug and pour approx. one tablespoon of engine oil into the
engine through the spark plug hole. Pull the recoil starter several times to
distribute the oil. Replace the spark plug.
•
Change the engine oil.
The machine must be stored clean and dry and out of the reach of children.
Transport
If the equipment is to be transported in a vehicle, it must be in an upright position and
securely fastened to the vehicle. Make sure the fuel cap and fuel cock are fully closed.
Disposal
When the snow thrower is to be disposed of, it must be dismantled and the individual
parts disposed of in accordance with the applicable local guidelines.
