Setting up
A.
In general
The excavator is almost ready for use when delivered. However, it is necessary that the
equipment is inspected (hydraulic fluid, fuel, engine oil, lubrication, etc.) and all of the
connections are checked (hydraulic, mechanical and if necessary, screws are tightened).
The excavator can only be started if an operator is sitting in the cab seat, as this is equipped
with a seat switch. Never attempt to start the machine without a person sitting in the seat.
Read the following and make sure that you have understood it before putting the machine
into operation.
Ensure that you are wearing suitable workwear, such as safety shoes and safety gloves when
the mini excavator is operating and comply with all safety instructions in the section “Safety”.
It is recommended that you become familiar with the machine and its functions before you
use the machine. Ensure that you become completely familiar with how the excavator’s levers
work and how the boom and bucket are controlled from the operator’s seat.
B.
Hydraulic oil check
The mini excavator is equipped with a sight glass for the hydraulic oil. Always check the oil
level before using the machine. The glass must be filled to the top mark. The sight glass is
located on the steering unit on the right side in direction of travel at the side of the hydraulic
hoses. It is recommend that
HVI 46 hydraulic oil is used.
