Safety instructions
1.
Read the manual thoroughly before using the equipment.
2.
Do not allow any other person to use the mini excavator without such person having
read the manual or having undergone thorough training in how to use the equipment
correctly and safely.
3.
People who are not trained in the use of the machine or children must never be
allowed to use the machine.
4.
Never allow anyone to sit on the machine when it is being transported.
5.
Never transport goods on the mini excavator.
6.
The equipment includes pressurised fluid. In case of a leak, the fluid is capable of
penetrating the skin and can cause serious blood poisoning. Therefore, always follow
these instructions:
a)
Never use the equipment if the hoses, joints or cables are frayed, cracked or damaged.
b)
Stop the engine and relieve the pressure before leaving the excavator unattended or
when servicing connections, hoses, cables or other components in the system.
c)
Do not make any adjustments to the pump’s pressure on the control valve.
d)
Never check for leaks with your hands. Leaks can be localised by placing a piece of
cardboard or wood on the site where it is suspected there is a leak. Check for
discolouration. If you are injured by a fluid leak, seek medical help immediately. If the
injury is not treated immediately and correctly, a serious infection or reaction can
occur.
7.
Keep the work area and the surrounding area tidy.
Exercise extreme caution when working near buildings, supply lines or when there are
others present. Check to find out if there are buried supply lines. Never stop the
excavator across the excavation. Always reverse the excavator and move it away from
the excavation while you excavate.
8.
If the excavator is to be used near a forest, scrub or grass, the engine should always be
equipped with a spark arrestor. Always ensure that the applicable local regulations and
guidelines are followed. Bring suitable fire-fighting equipment.
9.
The excavator should only be used for excavating. Do not use it for any other purpose.
10.
Never modify the excavator in any way.
