Safety instructions
This safety symbol highlights important safety information. When you encounter
this symbol, be very cautious. Your personal safety is at stake!
Starting the compactor:
Caution! Toxic gases. Start and use the compactor outdoors only. Breathing the
exhaust fumes can cause nausea or death.
Servicing:
Be cautious when filling with fuel. Petrol is flammable. Switch off the engine
when refuelling, do not smoke and do not refuel near sources of ignition. Failure
to do so can ignite a fire and/or an explosion.
Always switch off the engine before doing any type of service or maintenance.
Contacting moving parts can cause severe personal injury.
Always let the engine cool off before performing any type of service or maintenance.
Touching hot components can cause severe burns.
Mechanical hazards

Never use the compactor without having all safety shields attached.
•
Never leave an operating compactor unattended.
•
Before beginning to work in trenches or similar areas, it is crucial to ensure that the
excavation’s walls/sides are strong enough to withstand the compactor’s vibrations.
•
Make sure that there are no electrical or communications cables, or gas or water lines
in the work area as these could be damaged by the vibrations.
•
In general, exercise caution and remember that prolonged repeated exposure to
vibrations can injure hands and arms.
•
Never stand on the compactor while it is operating.
•
Never change the engine’s factory settings. The engine speed is set at 3500 rpm.
Increasing the revolutions per minute could result in personal injury and ruin the
compactor.
