Before starting: Follow these guidelines prior to using the machine!
•
Check the engine oil. Use 10W-30 oil.
Important! Do not overfill with oil and always keep the driver in the upright position to
check the oil level!
The post driver must have the correct oil level for it to operate correctly. Overfilling
will result in a loss of power and may lead to the engine becoming damaged.
•
Check the fuel.
Use only standard lead-free petrol.
•
Inspect the driver and cylinder; look inside the cylinder for deposits and foreign
bodies.
•
Check all of the screws and bolts and tighten if necessary.
•
Do not use the post driver if any of the control or safety devices are damaged or worn.
•
Use all of the recommended safety equipment.
Safe start-up of the petrol-driven post driver
•
Position the machine on a secure and level surface in an open area. Maintain a good
and safe posture/balance. Only start the post driver in areas that are open and which
have good ventilation. It is recommended that the machine is never started indoors.
Important! When you pull on the start cord, never wrap the start cord around your
hand or wrist. Never let go of the handle but let the cord slowly rewind. Do not pull
out the start cord to its full length. Failure to follow these guidelines can lead to
serious injury to hands and fingers or to the starter mechanism.
•
Put the red stop button to the “ON” position (if the machine is cold, close the choker).
•
Apply full throttle and press in the start-throttle button. The machine will now operate
with increased rpm until the start-throttle button is pushed.
•
Press the primer ball until you can see petrol in the return hose.
•
Pull the start handle to start the machine and carefully and slowly allow the start
handle to return to its original position.
Restarting with a warm engine
•
If the machine is used in warm surroundings over a longer period of time and then
switched off and left switched off for a short period of time, it is not guaranteed that it
will immediately start again on the first pull of the start handle.
Important! Always use the following procedure when necessary. Failure to do so can
result in injury!
