Fitting the Straight Guide Fence
Remove the two bolts from the guide fence rods (17) using
the allen key (19) provided in a anti clockwise direction.
Using the allen key (19) tigthen the guide fence rods (17)
onto the guide fence (18) in a clockwise direction (Fig. 6).
Fitting the Dust Extraction Adapator
The dust extraction adaptor allows you to connect a vacuum cleaner or dust extractor
to the tool.
1. Depress the spindle lock lever (8) and then loosen
the collet nut (9) in a clockwise direction with the
spanner provided.
2. Remove the collet nut (9), spring (21) and router bit
collet (22) from the router.
3. Loosen the router fixing nut (12) in an anti-clockwise
direction with the spanner (14) provided (Fig. 7).
4. Place your hand on the upper
body of the router assembly
and separate the router body
from the base (Fig. 8).
5. Remove the 2 parallel guide
fence locking knobs (10) from
the rear of the router.
6. Turn the router base upside
down and hold the dust
extractor adaptor (15) in
place (Fig. 9).
7. Fix the dust extractor adaptor
(15) in position with the two
Phillips head screws (20). Use
a Phillips head screwdriver and
rotate the fixing screws in a
clockwise direction (Fig. 10).
To reassemble the router into the
router base refer to Fitting the
Dust Extraction Adaptor refer to the 1 – 4 operational instructions in reverse order
(Page 9). Insert the required router bit and tighten the collet nut refer to picture Fig.11.
Using the parallel guide
The guide fence (18) is an effective aid to cutting in a straight line when chamfering
or grooving.
1. Loosen the guide fence (18) locking knobs (10) by rotating them anti-clockwise.
2. Feed the two guide fence rods (17) through the holes in the router base on the
right hand side of the router feed direction. This will assist in keeping the guide flush
with the side of the work piece.
