Cutting capacity

The wide vice opening and high pivot point provide cutting capacity for many large
pieces. Use the cutting capacity chart below to determine the maximum size of
cuts that can be made with a new wheel.

CAUTION:

CERTAIN LARGE, CIRCULAR OR IRREGUARLY SHAPED OBJECTS MAY

REQUIRE ADDITIONAL HOLDING MEANS IF THEY CANNOT BE HELD SECURELY
IN THE VICE.

CAUTION:

DO NOT CUT MAGNESIUM WITH THIS TOOL.

Note:

CAPACITY SHOWN ON THE CHART ASSUMES NO CUTTING DISC WEAR

AND OPTIMUM FENCE POSITION.

Switch

Your tool is supplied with a safety lock-off switch. To turn the tool on, slide the
switch lock-off button (3) and while holding it in, depress the switch (2).

To turn the tool off, release the switch (2).

Removal and Installation of Cutting Discs

Warning!

Disconnect the plug from the power source before assembling,

making any adjustments or changing accessories. Such preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of starting the tool accidentally.

1. Loosen the wing nut on the lower guard (6) and lift the lower guard (6) to

expose the cutting disc bolt.

2. Depress the spindle lock (5) and turn the cutting disc (7) by hand until spindle

lock (5) engages. Whilst depressing the spindle lock (5), loosen the bolt
counter-clockwise with the wrench (22) provided.

3. Remove the bolt, washer, outer flange and old cutting disc.

4. Clean dust and debris from flanges and shaft.

5. Install the new cutting disc by reversing the above steps.

6. Do not overtighten the bolt.

Warning!

Whenever replacing a cutting disc (7), always adjust the depth

stop (21) to prevent the cutting disc (7) cutting into the base (13) or the
surface it is resting on.
