folloW these instructions for regular firings.

Always start the grill with the temperature set to smoke and the door open.

Once whitish-gray smoke begins to come out of the grill and the pellets ignite, close the
door and set the temperature to any desired cooking setting.

The grill should be allowed to pre-heat for about 10 minutes with the door closed before
cooking any food.

MANuAl FIRING INsTRuCTIONs

only use these firing instructions if the hot rod is not operating,
and you have already gone through the troubleshooting tips in
this manual to fix the problem.

Make sure the power switch is OFF and the hot rod connector (purple/white wire pair)
is disconnected. Plug the power cord into an appropriate, grounded electrical outlet.

Fill the pellet hopper with Ozark Mountain BBQ pellets. Never use other BBQ pellets,
as Ozark Mountain BBQ pellets are the only ones designed specifically to work with this
grill. Do not use heating fuel pellets as they may contain hazardous materials.

remove the porcelain grill, grease drain pan and heat baffle to expose the firebox in the
bottom of the grill.

Pour 1/2 cup of Ozark Mountain BBQ pellets into the firebox.

Squirt 2 tablespoons of alcohol gel fire lighter into the firebox. Never squirt alcohol
gel into a burning fire or hot firebox, as the alcohol gel bottle could explode and cause
serious injury.

Light the alcohol gel with a match or butane lighter.

Let the alcohol gel and pellets burn for about four minutes.

After making sure that the pellets have ignited, put the heat baffle, grease drain pan and
porcelain grill back in place.

Turn the power switch to ON and the temperature dial to any setting desired. The grill
should be allowed to pre-heat for about 10 minutes with the door closed before cooking
any food.
