Working on the Batteries
•
Only OXYGEN service technicians can work on the batteries.
•
Handle the batteries with care to avoid damaging them.
•
Check the battery connections.
•
Use the proper tools when working on batteries.
•
Avoid placing tools on the battery while working on it.
•
Do not wear rings, bracelets, wristwatches, or metal buckles while working on
batteries.
•
Do not run batteries in closed areas.
•
Do not disconnect the battery recharger before the battery has been completely
recharged; this might happen intentionally or unintentionally if the battery
recharger is connected to an electric system which utilizes reduced rates at
different times of the day thereby interrupting the power output.
It is recommended that the batteries be completely recharged upon consignment.
