These instructions for use provide you with important information on the fitting and application of
the 50A8 Omo Immobil Sling and 50A9 Omo Immobil Sling abduction shoulder orthosis.
2 Intended use
2.1 Indications for use
The orthosis is intended

for orthotic fittings of the shoulder and
exclusively
for con
tact with intact skin.
The orthosis must be used in accordance with the indications.
2.2 Indications
Indications must be determined by the physician.

2.3 Contraindications
2.3.1 Absolute Contraindications

2.3.2 Relative Contraindications
The following complaints require consultation with a physician: skin diseases/injuries, inflamma
tion, prominent scars that are swollen, reddening and hyperthermia in the area treated; lymphatic
flow disorders, including unclear soft tissue swelling distal to the device; sensory and circulatory
disorders in the area of the arm and the hand.
2.4 Effects
50A8 Omo Immobil Sling
The orthosis immobilises and relieves the shoulder joint with interior rotation by holding the arm in
place on the body. It has an analgesic effect.
