Attention:
As soon as the DMC Plus Control recognizes that a
fully charged
757B20/757B21 Energy-
Pack has been connected, it automatically switches to a special mode optimized for this state-
of-the-art battery technology. Once this has happened, only EnergyPacks should be used. If a
757B8 NiCad battery or a 757B15 X-ChangePack is used after the control has automatically
switched to the new battery technology, the Greifer will shut off prior to using the NiCad bat-
tery's full capacity, but no harm will result to the Greifer or battery. If the user wishes to return
to using NiCad batteries, the control may be reset to the factory default for use with NiCad
technology at an Otto Bock service facility.

As delivered, the DMC Plus Control system is ready for operation using either the Otto Bock
757B20 EnergyPack or 757B8 NiCad batteries. The default setting is optimized for NiCad bat-

8 Service
Since all moving parts are subject to some wear and tear, Otto Bock recommends yearly service
check-ups by your prosthetist. During the service visit, the entire Greifer will be inspected and any
necessary adjustments or lubrication will be made.
9 Warranty
The Otto Bock Warranty applies only when the 8E33=6 and 8E34=6 Otto Bock System Electric
Greifers with DMC Plus are used according to the specific conditions and for the intended pur-
poses, following all manufacturer’s recommendations. The System Electric Greifer should not be
disassembled or repaired by
non-authorized personnel
.
Use with component combinations that
have not been tested by Otto Bock will void the warranty.

Otto Bock as manufacturer with sole responsibility declares that the 8E33=6 and 8E34=6 Otto Bock
System Electric Greifers with DMC Plus conform to the requirements of 93/42 EEC Guidelines.
