In addition to the warnings and the illustration in this section, also observe the following instructions when
attaching the sensors:

: Use the following sensors according to their labelling for the drop foot fitting assessment:
P (pelvis)
Sensor holder with straight back
Positioning: in the centre of the lumbar spine region as close as possible to the body
T (thigh):
for the affected side
Sensor holder with slightly rounded back
Positioning: centre of the side in the upper third of the thigh
C (calf):
for the affected side
Smaller sensor holder with pronounced curve on back
Positioning: centre of the side of the lower leg at the point with the largest circumference
FL (foot left):
Positioning: foot clip centred on the hindfoot right over the sole of the shoe; plastic tongue under the
shoelaces
FR (foot right):
Positioning: foot clip centred on the hindfoot right over the sole of the shoe; plastic tongue under the
shoelaces
CAUTION!
To protect the skin, position the sensor holders on tight fitting clothes (e.g. cycling shorts) or on
thin single-use fabric as an intermediate layer.
CAUTION!
The warnings at the beginning of this section must be observed when positioning the sensor
holders on the skin.
CAUTION!
The sensor holders must fit as closely to the body as possible so they do not slip during move
ment, as this would otherwise distort the measurement.

: When lengthening the straps, make sure that the hook-and-loop sections
of both straps are aligned
in the same direction.

Start by attaching all the sensor holders to the patient and then insert each sensor in the prop
er sensor holder.

: If the orthosis prevents a sensor from being attached in the ideal location, attach it as closely as pos
sible to the ideal location.
