Should the prosthesis be subjected to unusual stresses (such as a fall),
immediately contact your prosthetist and have the prosthesis inspected
for any damage. If necessary, the responsible prosthetist will pass the
prosthesis on to the Ottobock Service.
NOTICE
Risk of corrosion.
Please avoid exposing prosthetic components to sur-
roundings that corrode metal parts, for example, freshwater, saltwater,
acids and other liquids.
Using this medical product in such environmental conditions will render
all claims against Otto Bock HealthCare null and void.
NOTICE
Risk of damage due to improper environmental conditions.
The pros-
thesis and its components should not be subjected to intense smoke, dust,
vibrations, shocks or high temperatures. Do not allow debris or liquids
to get into the prosthesis and its components. Failure to follow these
instructions can lead to malfunctioning and damage of the prosthesis.
NOTICE
Risk of damage due to use of improper cleansing agents.
Do not
use any aggressive cleaning agents since they could cause damage to
bearings, seals and plastic parts.
2.4 Function
The Ottobock Wrist Units without Ratchet are available in the following
designs:
• 10V9 Wrist Unit without Ratchet made of plastics
• 10V10 Wrist Unit without Ratchet made of aluminum
• 10V25 Wrist Unit without Ratchet with Flexion Device
The Ottobock Wrist Units without Ratchet allow for a fitting in conjunction
with an Ottobock System Hand or Ottobock cable activated hook.
A 10A44 Stud is to be used for adaption of the System Hands and hooks.
