10. V.R.D. – Electrode welding
10.1 Operating with the V.R.D.
The abbreviation V.R.D. stands for "Voltage Reductions Device", a system that enables a
voltage fall in the engine idling of the welding machine.
As soon as the V.R.D. is activated, the current in the no-load voltage drops to 25V
immediately. Thus the V.R.D. serves also as an additional safety system for the operator.
10.2 Start the V.R.D.
1. Turn the device on
2. Press the button "MODE" for about 5 seconds until the LED on the front panel lights up.
The V.R.D. is now activated!
3. Even after re-turn on and off the welding machine the V.R.D. stays activated.
10.3 Stop the V.R.D.
1. Turn the welding machine on
2. Press the button "MODE" for about 5 seconds until the LED on the front panel goes out.
The V.R.D. turns off now.
3. Even after re-turn on and off the welding machine the V.R.D. stays off
