A digital audio signal consists of a set of audio data and a
synchronization signal. The synchronization signal is used to
perform audio data sampling with proper timing. If there is a gap
between these two signals, the proper audio signals may not be
reproduced. The FS-96 can adjust the synchronization timing of
these two signals.
1.
Press the
SETUP
key to place the FS-96 in Setup mode
and select the
SYNC TIMING
screen by pressing the
upper & lower Arrow keys.
The SYNC TIMING screen appears on the LCD.
2.
Select the desired item with the upper & lower Arrow
keys and press the
ENTER
key to activate the
parameter.
The current selection is displayed with parentheses and the
other choices are displayed on the screen.
(USE
TO SELECT ITEM)
3.
Select the desired value with the right & left Arrow keys
and press the
ENTER
key to store the selection.
The selection is stored into the current setting memory and
is reflected onto the actual setting.
(USE
TO CHANGE PARAMETER)
4.
Repeat the steps 2 and 3 until the desired parameters
are set.
5.
When the parameters are set to the desired values,
press the
CANCEL
key to return to the
SYNC TIMING
screen. Or, press the
SETUP
key to return to the initial
screen.
■
Parameters in SYNC TIMING Screen:
The following
parameters can be set in the SYNC TIMING screen.
■
■
INPUT DELAY:
used to adjust the delay for the clock signal
extracted from the input audio signals, within a range of ±2
units (1 unit = 5 ns). This will change the timing of audio data
sampling relatively to the clock signal. Individual settings are
possible for the three input groups for the TDIF-1 and ADAT
interfaces, while a single setting is available for the SDIF
interface.
■
■
TDIF OUTPHASE (Output Signal Phase):
used to adjust
the output timing of the TDIF-1 signals, relatively to the Word
Clock signal. This will adjust the signal phases of the LR clock
and audio data. Adjustment is possible in a range of ±2 clocks
(1 clock =
).
NOTE:
The above settings are normally set to “±0”. If there is no
problem in audio signal transmissions, the setting need not be
changed.
