5.    The gasket and the valves can be removed for cleaning. (See pages 9-10).

6.    Once the pressure increases, the Lid cannot be opened. Safety sensors ensure the

pressure remains within the set range.

7.    The Steam Release Valve has an extended finger tab, designed to keep the hand

away from the top of the valve. Always use a kitchen utensil when operating this tab.

See RELEASING PRESSURE Instructions on pages 7-8.

8.    The pressure cooking functions require liquid to work. If the inside of the Cooking Pot

does not have enough liquid, the Multi-Cooker will not pressurize. At least 550ml of

liquid is needed to pressurize properly.

9.    At the end of cooking, the Lid cannot be unlocked until all the pressure is released.

This can be done using the Natural Pressure Release Method or Quick Pressure

Release Method, explained on pages 7-8. Be mindful that the heating plate and all

the unit might still be extremely hot after turning the unit off or unplugging it.

10.  The Time Control Knob is used to set the cooking time. To advance, simply turn the

knob clockwise to the desired amount of time.

11.  As soon as the Power Cord is plugged into a power outlet the (yellow) Keep Warm

indicator light will turn on. To begin heating, turn the Time Control Knob clockwise to

the desired cook time.

12.  Pressure and temperature settings on the Oster

®

 Rapid Multi-Cooker are preset

to function on MEDIUM. Once the desired cook time is set and the unit reaches

optimum pressure, the (green)Keep Pressure indicator light will turn on to indicate

that the pressure cooking cycle has begun.

13.  When the pressure cooking cycle has ended, the (yellow) Keep Warm indicator light

will turn on and the Keep Warm setting will function to keep your cooked food warm

until the Multi-Cooker is unplugged.

PREPARING FOR FIRST TIME USE

1.   Before using the Multi-Cooker for the first time, clean the cooking pot with soap and

warm water and dry.

2.   Lightly cover the cooking surface with cooking oil (spreading it over the entire cooking

surface).

3.   Warm uncovered until the appliance reaches maximum heat.

4.   Turn off and cool completely.

5.   Clean off excess oil with warm water without rubbing.

6.   Dry the surface with a dry cloth. Now the appliance is ready to be used.

GETTING STARTED

1.    Add desired ingredients to Cooking Pot. Place Lid on top of Multi-Cooker and align

with  . To lock, twist counterclockwise, aligning   with  .

2.    Plug provided Power Cord into the Power Cord Port of the Multi-Cooker.

3.    Plug other end of the Power Cord into a wall power outlet.

4.   Turn the Time Control Knob clockwise to the desired cook time to begin heating. The

(red) Heating indicator light will turn on. (Please refer to the Cooking Guide chart on

page 12 for cook time recommendations.)

5.    When the Multi-Cooker reaches optimum pressure, the (green) Keep Pressure

indicator light will turn on, the unit will begin pressure cooking, and the timer will begin

counting down.

6.    After the set cooking time has elapsed, the Multi-Cooker will beep and the (yellow)

Keep Warm indicator light will turn on indicating that the unit has automatically

switched to the Keep Warm setting.

7.    The Multi-Cooker will remain on the Keep Warm setting until it has been unplugged

from the power outlet.

8.    When finished, unplug the Multi-Cooker and wait for it to cool completely before

attempting to clean.
