SECURITY
• Attention, look out for sharp edges and corners on
the unit and fans.
• Consider the weight of the unit. See page 49 and
product
label.
• Before maintenance work the unit must be cur-
rentless. If there is a need of changing or comp-
lement any electrical components, it should be
done by a qualified person.
• The SAU EC includes rotating parts that could
cause serious danger on the occasion of contact.
This is why the unit must be duct connected
or provide with safety grille and the lid closed
with the screws tightened, before starting up the
unit.
• After the power is cut for service and maintenan-
ce the electric heater may still be warm.
• The unit must be equipped with a residual current
device
(RCD).
• When installing an external exhaust air fan, it
should be powered from the same fuse group.
• Any electrical connections must be made by a qua-
lified
electrician.
• Any action on the unit and its accessories must be
made by a qualified electrician/installer.
Keep in mind that rotating, warm and electrical
components can cause serious damage.
• Please be careful when opening the service lid.
HOW TO HANDLE
• The unit must be transported in its packing until
installation. This prevents transport damages,
scratches and the fan from getting dirty.
• SAU EC should be storage in a sheltered and dry
place before installation.
Avoid extreme heat or cold (temperature range for
storage and transport.
USE
• When installing SAU EC consideration must be
given to any approval authority requirements and
recommendations concerning siting, accessibility,
electrical connections, etc.
• SAU is accessible for the user, according to
IEC 60335-2-40, to by themselves do the
service and maintenance, according to this
Directions for use. But before this work the unit
must be currentless.
With reservation according to IEC 60335-2-7.12
”This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, senso-
ry or metal capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervi-
sion or instruction concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety.”
”Children should be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.”
• The unit is used for transportation of “clean” air,
meaning not intended for fire-dangerous substan-
ces, explosives, grinding dust, soot, etc.
• To achieve maximum life time for installations in
damp or cold environments, the unit should be
operating
continuously.
• The unit is intended to be used at the max voltage
and frequency that’s stated on the product label.
INSTALLATION
• SAU EC should be installed according to the as-
sembly instruction on the next page.
• Mount on floor, wall or ceiling with fasteners
adapted to its structure and quality.
• The unit must be installed according to the air
direction
label.
• The unit should be installed in a way that makes
service and maintenance easy.
• The unit must be connected to duct or equipped
with a safety grille before starting up the unit.
• Use duct clamps when connecting to duct.
• The unit must be installed in a safe way. Make sure
that no foreign objects are left behind in the
unit/duct.
• The fresh air duct should be fitted with a safety
grille for a natural air supply.
• The supply air duct should be insulated if instal-
led in a cold space.
• The fresh air duct should always be condense
insulated.
• The ducts should be insulated all the way towards
the
unit.
• Electrical installation must be connected to a locally
situated isolator switch or by a lockable main
switch.
• Control that the fan is installed and electri-
cally connected in the right way with RCD.
• Wiring diagram see page 54-55.
• The fan motor has an integrated motor protection.
• To ensure communication between the unit
and its control unit, the communication cable
cannot exceed 20 m.
OPERATION

Before operating the unit make sure:
• the current does not exceed more than +5% of
what is stated on the label.
• the connecting voltage is in b6% to
–10% of the rated voltage.
• no noise appears when starting the unit.
