Upon connecting the power, the IPMI LED, will illuminate from solid red to blinking green and to solid green. When the led status is solid green,
the IPMI is ready.
13.2 Locate Mac Address & IP Address

Locate the Mac address sticker. Each Ethernet port will have a unique Mac address, the label will have the Mac address.

If you don’t see the label, check the IPMI module inside the unit that has a label containing the Mac address. The photo below shows
the location of the label with the Mac address numbers.

There are two Mac addresses, one for each port. Below photo shows thirteen characters 00184904C9E8-9. The last digit is the
designated number for the Ethernet port location on the unit.

Based on the photo below, number 8 is for the back end Ethernet port. The last number 9 is for the front end Ethernet port. The
number is unique for every module in the expansion unit.

The Mac address for the front Ethernet is 00184904C9E9 (00:18:49:04:C9:E9 or 00-18-49-04-C9-E9).

The Mac address for the back Ethernet port is 00184904C9E8 (00:18:49:04:C9:E8 or 00-18-49-04-C9-E8).
