Safety valve SV9 bar (RI HP and RI TC)
The safety valve is fitted near the bottom of the
unit, directly below the electric central.
The plug D can be used as a drain. It is also pos
-
sible to drain the unit by opening the safety valve
itself, by turning knob K counter-clockwise until it
stays open. To close valve continue turning coun
-
ter-clockwise until the valve snaps shut.
RI SD
is fitted with a P&T valve 10 bar/95°C. Can
be drained through 1/4” outlet at the bottom.
Warning
Do not remove or plug the factory fitted safety
valve. The valve must have a free flowing, non
closeable 3/4” (min. internal diameter 18 mm) out
-
let to a visible and frost free drain/gully! The safety
valve should be operated annually (first time after
approx. 3 months) to ensure the water is free flow
-
ing, see “Safety valve” above.
Mixing valve
The Ecoline series is fitted with an OSO UX 15 me
-
chanic mixing valve (RI SD & TC has a UXT 15 ther
-
mostatic valve). It is adjustable from 45-75°C. Preset
at 55°C. The UX/UXT has an integrated stop valve
for use when servicing the water heater.
Connections
ø15 mm. cold and hot water pipes are inserted into
the appropriate connection on the mixing valve as
shown. Then tighten nut.
For RI SD pipes approved for the appropriate temp.
must be fitted.
Temperature adjustment
The water temperature from the water heater to the
taps is adjusted using knob A.
