In order to achieve a best possible protection the size of the protector has to
be right for your personal height or for the length of your back. As it is not that
easy to define the length of the back, we give you a scale of the body height
for the ORTOVOX-backpacks with SPS-protector for which the backpack
should fit. For the right protection, measure the shoulder hip distance.
When measuring the hip-to-shoulder length, the measuring tape must cross
the mid-point between the outer shoulder and the connecti-
on between the shoulders and throat. Running down the
back, the measuring tape must trace the shortest path
to a point around 90mm to the side of the center line
of the body. The waist level is the horizontal level
50mm above the highest point of the hipbones (iliac
crests).
The measurements 90mm and 50mm refer to
a person approx. 178cm tall and should be
adjusted accordingly for smaller or taller
people.
